Although we just gave you a spring time update on Erykah Badu, we've already got more news. That's right, E stays busy. It turns out she's just launched a mini tour while she wraps up her latest album, New Amerykah, Part II (Return Of The Ankh). The tour, entitled 4th World War, kicked off May 24th in LA but continues through September, with stops all over the U.S. and Europe. I give thanks for Miss Badu. I attended her August 8 show in Columbia, MD and she did not disappoint. I am mourning my mother’s death and took it personally when Erykah ended the show singing “I bet you love will make it better” from Bag Lady. My only regret was that Erykah could not perform longer. I see her every time she’s in the DC area! Her consistent message of love, peace and justice is always timely.
