Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II Mega-Post

Everytime I attempted to make a Raekwon post today, some more new content popped up. So I decided to make this Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II mega-post. First we have the snippets from the album (sorry, just got taken down). Next up are two more audio links that are raw as hell and equal to (if not greater than) the previous tracks we've heard. The first song is "10 Bricks" featuring Ghostface and Cappadonna, and the second is "Catalina (prod. Dr. Dre)" featuring Lyfe Jennings. To conclude the mega post, Rae's video for "House of Flying Daggers" just dropped, featuring Inspectah Deck, Ghostface, and Method Man, with J Dilla on the production. I would hope y'all are sold by now, so go pick up OB4CL2 on September 8th.

That video is fucking sick, 10 Bricks is dope, but House of Flying Daggers is amazing. Dilla totally captured the classic Wu sound.

  14. avatar Beat KNOCKA

This Dilla beat is Killah, but its old! Madlib busted over it. Its at least 3 yrs or older. I think this was on JAYLIB’s colabo(Jay Dilla & Madlib). But the Wu did capitalize the moment. Way to step up to the plate! OB4CL II….

dear god, nothin is fuckin with this album right now.
that video was so dope, even if it was a flash animation.

the other tracks are ridiculous too, although the dre one sounds way too polished compared to the raw shit that ive heard so far. still dope though, just in a different way.

  16. avatar the soapbox killer

    So Dope!

  17. avatar Habilis

10 Bricks beat = The Red by Jaylib. Still a damn good one, would’ve liked to avoid recycled beats though.

  18. avatar reality check

10 Bricks is hot as hell. Recycled beat or not it’s still ace.

  19. avatar jank uno

I been bangin this Dilla beat forever. Almost shed a tear when I heard Rae on it. Can’t wait yo!

  20. avatar DJGodfatherLIVES

  21. avatar Mike Shousky

The Best thing that has come out in so long!!! Dre sounds good on this even though i was disappointed with alot of his production lately.

  22. avatar TodayIstandAsAnyOtherDayTall

    Wu-tang! Wu-tang!

  23. avatar Wu Gambino

Who would have thought that all it took to bring back that classic Wu was get some Dilla beats. this album cannot come soon enough…

  24. avatar d-rock

are you sure the dilla beat is – red from jaylib cuz im listening to it know and it doesnt sound like the same beat unless they tweaked with it a grip

  25. avatar P-souL

This Is Not “The Red” beat from Jaylib. this is one dilla’s beat cd done in 05, “track 26″. i dont think any one has been on that beat thus for beside rae/wu. so correction for those who’s getting it wrong. But umm. DAMN! didnt expected nothin less from this track and SOO f’in glad to see Wu on a Dilla BEAT! i already thought it was genius when pete through Havoc & Rae on that “24K Rap” AAHHH!!! i’m wyldin’ out! cant wait. peace…

  26. avatar self.

no where near The Red. you can press play on that Sisqo album you were bumping before you made that comment.

  27. avatar annom

dude isn’t completely wrong. that beat was used for “the red” on the re-release of the jaylib album. stones throw couldn’t use the original cause of sample clearance

  28. avatar Beat KNOCKA

    annom: …

Thanks for the confirmtion. They also released this track “the red”, on the peanut butter wolf ten yr anniversary album.

  29. avatar PhillyROOTed

Sept 8th 2009 go cop Raekwon “Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2″
Raekwon was just in Philly last week tellin us him and beanie are droppin classics back 2 back!

  31. avatar jank uno

La tha Darkman used the beat it on “Brooklyn, Brooklyn”. The Red…funny.

  32. avatar Lex Diamond

Who cares if it recycled, the track is hot. Wu on Dilla is like a gift from God! And Dilla is still shinning, you have to just he’s older beats.

    OB4CL2 is a monster, I need 3 copies!

  33. avatar owlcove

Heard the snippets, it’s not even close to the first album. So let’s not everybody start actin’like this is a fuckin’ classic!

  34. avatar DJ CROSSFADER

I just listened to the firsat only built 4 cuban link weren he talks about people biting off other peoples shit and here he is biting off j dilla ??????

  35. avatar DJ CROSSFADER

he also bites lines on the dre joint

  36. avatar TRAYLIFE

STOP COMPLAINING AND GIVE PROPS DO TO RAE, CLASSIC!!!! NAS NOT BEING IN THIS IS THE ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT

  37. avatar G Gray

Regardless if this is on the level of OBFCL I, this album is gonna be a classic in it’s own right. The fact that the music climates are totally different needs to be addressed. I think it’s harder now for an album of this caliber not only come out but to be acknowledged. In the early-mid 90′s you had to come hard b/c you had Nas, Biggie, Deathrow, Jay-Z, etc. coming out and if you didn’t bring it, you sank.
