OKP T-Shirt Contest! And ALL NEW Spring '09 T-Shirts!
Posted by gingerlynn on Apr 21, 2009

Get YOUR design made into an official OKP t-shirt!
For our Spring '09 t-shirt line, we decided to commemorate each year, dating back to the inception of OKP, with it's own, unique tee. Each t-shirt represents something monumental from that year, from 1999 through 2009, some unique moment that Okayplayer strongly identifies with. Click here to see all of our new tees. Follow me after the jump for all the details, and to hear about our T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST!
You may notice we are missing a t-shirt to commemorate 2002. We had initially decided to honor Common for his special year with Electric Circus. The t-shirt design we came up with is below. Unfortunately Com's management denied us the right to make the shirt due to Common's previous exclusive commitment to Microsoft Zune tees. D'oh. So we were left without a tee for '02.
Now heres where YOU come in! Send us your best Okayplayer 2002 t-shirt design (JPG, TIFF, or PNG) to win (keep the file size UNDER 1MB). [Make sure you save the REAL art file as an .ai or .eps file in case you win!] Think about '02 and everything that rocked Okayplayer's world that year. Make sure you look at all of our other '09 t-shirts to be sure your design "fits" with our line. We'll be running this contest for the next 3 weeks. The winning design will be announced on MAY 12th!
In addition to getting YOUR DESIGN made into an official OKP tee, and bragging rights for days, the winner can pick ANY FIVE t-shirts from our OkayStore. We'll send prizes out once we pick the winner.
To enter: Send your design to okayplayercontest@gmail.com. Make sure to include your FULL NAME, mailing address, email address, and phone number. Include your Okayplayer handle too, if you have one. Also include a few short sentences explaining WHY you created the design that you did. Winner will be emailed May 12th!

So when and where will the winner be posted on the site? Or are they just gonna post the t-shirt design in the store tab when it's ready to be sold? Excited to find out.
