News has just come in that N*E*R*D plan on joining the Gorilaz on their 18-city Escape to Plastic Beach North American tour. It all kicks off on October 5th in Connecticut. This tour will also boast appearances from De La Soul, Little Dragon, and Bobby Womack all joining the Gorillaz Plastic Beach band. Says Pharrell of the tour "We are all super excited to be on tour with Gorillaz… N*E*R*D is all about expanding creatively and Gorillaz have been doing that for years. We are all huge fans and really admire their vision." Gorillaz will be promoting their latest album Plastic Beach, as N*E*R*D* will be giving a preview of their fourth studio album, Nothing, set to drop this fall.
