Universal Motown Records has enlisted some of the hottest producers in the game to pay homage to Michael Jackson by remixing their favorite tracks from The Jackson 5’s timeless catalog of gems and jams. The Neptunes, Swizz Beatz, Q-Tip, Benny Blanco, Ryan Leslie, and Rodney Jerkins are just a few of the producers who are featured on Michael Jackson: The Remix Suites I-V. Boasting innovative renditions of popular hits such as “ABC” and “Dancing Machine,” along with obscure classics like “Maria” and “Skywriter,” Michael Jackson: The Remix Suites I-V is as diverse in sound as its dazzling array of notable producers.
The suites will be released in five digital bundles of five songs. The first bundle—featuring Polow Da Don, The Neptunes, Dallas Austin, Salaam Remi, and Stargate is available for digital purchase TODAY, followed by a new bundle every two weeks leading up to the physical release of the entire collection on October 27. We personally enjoyed Salaam Remi’s reggae remix of “ABC,” where he “imagined the Jackson’s taking a trip to Jamaica in the early ’70s with a Jamaican band playing behind them." Damn…good stuff right here….RIP Mike
Whhhhhhhhhhyyyyyy?????!!!!!!
Worth the 5 bucks.
if there already classics why fuck with them????????????????
I’m with helltothenah! WHY!?!? You have to be so careful with the word, REMIX! I keep forgetting that we’re in the ringtone, autotune stages of Hip Hop right now! Here I am thinking I’m going to hear some fresh kicks and snares, (stupid me), maybe even some live instrumentation, but instead I hear a bunch of popcorn, microwave CRAP!! They can keep that! Wish they would’ve got @ me to do the remixes! Damn! http://www.myspace.com/thaarchitect
Would have loved to hear a more Hip Hop centered group of producers (ie. Premo, Alchemist, Havoc, 9th, Pete Rock, etc.) take a stab at it, but it sounds alright. Seems like they made the remixes specifically for the club, which is cool considering some of MJ’s and the Jackson brothers best songs are club joints. Good Job. I’ll support it….
This is a great MJ tribute project.

We just released a new MJ tribute music video this weekend for MJ’s birthday. It’s an original song by the Napalm Clique, a bay area based hip hop group. The video itself is easily the best produced MJ tribute video I’ve seen. And this is possibly one of the only MJ hip hop tributes that actually addresses the adversity Michael had to face as a successful black artist:

i really liked the never can say goodbye track. it kept the integrity of the song w/ a for once good extra sound and the whole talking to mike thing was great.
