At one point J*Davey’s music was pushing into the future with past influences, now, based on this 5 track treat, it seems they may be stuck in recycling 80′s punk funk.

At one point, I looked at J*Davey’s page and saw they are a fusion of California surf music, hip hop, and electric….That’s excatly what I’m hearing. I wish people stopped looking for a new quick saviour like time-capsule in music. They are getting better in. If these are the cuts from the main album, I’m def READY TO BUY the cd when it drops.
lovely2 its not that people are looking for musical saviors. some of us are looking for modern day artists to push past their influences and produce their own greatness; and that fans not get swept away by slick production and a thing because its “new”…

I agree that the new mixtape/EP isnt as good as sum of the stuff i”ve heard from them in the past but i still like it none the less.

For real: I love J*Davey’s music and I’m surprised with all the recycled b.s. that’s on the radio right now that more people don’t listen to their music. WAAAAKEEE UUUUP! Would people try something new once in a while and stop promoting the same garbage. J*Davey is the future. Just wish real artist could get the same public push.
