Brooklyn, next Tuesday super-producer Ira Schickman’s new band, The Funktional Allstars will perform at our favorite new venue, The Brooklyn Bowl. Ira has finally gotten out of the studio and up on to the stage. This will be a real par-taay with that old school FUNK-tastic feel, including Ira Schickman on guitar, talk-box, and vocals (Grammy award-winning producer who’s written/produced for everyone from Chaka Khan to Kylie Minogue, and so many more inbetween), bass legend Ron Long, and special guests from Kool & The Gang, along with DJ King Cole on the 1s and 2s! So join us for that sweaty, sticky, dirty funk next Tuesday. Those who were there last month for the premiere of The Funk Bowl know what time it is! Oh yeah, and it’s a FREE show this month! And as for the venue, The Roots performed there last Thursday along with a slew of special guests, and yes, you can bowl while you shake your booty to the live show, with a great view of the stage.
