Good news, Hip-Hopers Black Star is Back! At least for two shows. On May 30th Talib Kweli and Mos Def will re-unite for two shows at the Nokia Theater (NYC). Tickets are on AMEX presale now (3/25) and go on sale to the general population on 3/27 at noon for the early show (7PM) here, and the late show (11:30 PM) here. LOL super misleading title. Especially since they have been doing cameos at each others shows for a minute now. Atleast we are getting another reflection album. One can only hope this is a sign of things to come. I was lucky enough to catch the RE show at the blue note and it was quite a moment to see Bun B say something like “seeing kweli together with hi tek makes you feel like all is well in hip hop” i think the same could be said here…
