In celebration of it's 70 year anniversary and today's t re-release on DVD today, ?uestlove and band* (hand assembled from many of the usual suspects) are performing a special medley of songs from The Wizard of Oz as well as The Wiz LIVE at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park NYC at 7pm sharp featuring special performances by Jennifer Hudson, Julianne Hough, Bilal for FREE sponsored by NETTFLIX . According to Brooklyn Vegan , "that will be followed by a screening of the flick on a giant inflatable screen (rain location TBA if it rains)." Here is an outtake from yesterday's rehearsal with Bilal and the band performing "Home" from The Wiz.
