Zakee comes from the same camp as names like The Very Best, M.I.A., Santigold, and Spank Rock. With his music, Zakee gives you a mix of electronic, African, world, hip-hop, and alternative music all in one. This September, Zakee plans on releasing his debut album, Assimilations via Green Owl. he produced one song for afrikan boy, and another for rye rye, hes a friend of both plus hes a friend of MIA, santigold and Buraka Som Sistema, So he must be in the crew.

@lopezz You are so right..this music cool..actually great,but I dont think Zakee is trying to sound like M.I.A or Lo Primo. He’s just doing his own thing and creating his own sound,and I love him for that. Im a Recording Engineer and obviously these songs are leaked and are not the mixed and mastered versions, but through all of that I can see the vision and the potential perfectly. Who knows what the final product sounds like,but I can at least say that this music is unique and powerful I would love to hear more.

Snakes reminds me of the NYC group Yeasayer quite a bit & Freedom is reminiscent of TV On The Radio or Talking Heads. I like alot!
