Audio: The Noisettes “Upset Lockdown”

If you're not familiar, The Noisettes are a London trio who on any given track can give you a mix of punk, pop, blues-rock, jazz, funk, soul or electro. The band from the UK is preparing the U.S. release of their sophomore album, Wild Young Hearts next Tuesday (9/22). To help support the LP, Mick Boogie and Terry Urban reached out to OKP to co-present this project, The Noisettes versus Kanye West. The project will have Mick and his stable of producers redoing The Noisettes vocals over samples from Kanye's 808s and Heartbreak (playing on the common theme of "heart" in the titles). The final project will be ready in a few weeks. For now, here's the first leak "Upset Lockdown" ("Don't Upset The Rhythm" x "Love Lockdown") re-sampling by 6th Sense, Drums by Apple Juice Kid.

I don’t know what Samoan Sam is talking about, but this joint is nice. “Get choke fauxmo-sexuals”? What is that supposed to really mean?
