Audio: Reflection Eternal “Back Again”

You saw the mock video, and you've probably heard this song playing in the background of their recent interview clips. Well today Reflection Eternal released the full length mastered version of this very song, entitled "Back Again." Sounds like Hi-Tek and Talib Kweli still have that winning formula. Take a listen, and I'm sure you'll agree they picked the right name for this one. Still waiting on a title and a release date for the new RE LP, but expect it to drop this year.

Prime example that hip-hop can live on forever. All you need is a dope emcee and a dope producer. Sounds simple but you have to be able to be dope with the rhymes and dope with production. Much respect Talib and Hi-Tek. Classic material!

Played this for a friend of mine who doesn’t listen to hip-hop and here’s what he had to say: “anyone who can make a rhyme out of yellow #5 is a genius”

Personally, I didn’t like Eardrum much. Couldn’t pinpoint what was missing for me but this track seems to capture whatever it was. Can’t wait for the album to drop.

Bout time I can like rap again. It seems recently the legit hip-hop music has been dull and missing a spark. This is looking to remedy that situation.

    Rock the Bells 2009!!!!

  22. avatar magicnole

I agree about yellow #5. However, song is still dope as shit!

  23. avatar BGzzzzz

    Release another song!!!!!

  24. avatar nomadin

That’s the trouble with Kweli, not much of an ear for the beats. Hi-tek fills the gaps, loving this…

  25. avatar cyrusone

i love that, “hip hop is back!!”…that’s bull. these dudes incl. mos and all of the ok player tribe never went anywhere. i dont care if it takes them 15 years to drop another reflection or black star, as long as they continue to live and breath hip hop. “no matter where you are..i will always be in your corner”
