Looks like it’s gonna be a good weekend for you, OKP. We’ve got some brand new Mighty Mos for y’all! It’s a live version (so not the best quality, but still pretty good) of Mos Def performing “Twilight Speedball,” a song he co-produced with Chad Hugo. The joint is off of Mos’ upcoming album The Ecstatic dropping on Downtown Records. The recording is from a show Mos did back on March 30th at NYC’s Nokia Theater, which was also Jay Electronica‘s NYC debut performance. Mos can be heard performing this on tour with Rock The Bells as well as another new joint called “Auditorium” which is said to feature Slick Rick with production by Madlib.

Hmmm…hope this don’t end up like True Magic Pt. 2. Damn Def…
hahah don’t hate! remains poetic, but losin the sound to move.
Is there a new release date for the Ecstatic? Other than Mar/Apr 2008?
The studio version of this should be fire.
amanandhismoney… dude your crazy tru3 magic was fire. U just need to open your ears a lil more. For real, not even tryin to come at your neck, but there is some real shit on that lp.
Mos all ways brings you something new…but theres always that distinctive Mos Def sound on it. Definetly one of my top five MC and inspirations…
Completely agree foeriz; True Magic was indeed slept on. Although I felt the way amanandhismoney did at first…it ws one of those joint’s I needed to shelve for a while and then get back to it.
true magic was like mos def just trippin out with a microphone present
