Audio: Mos Def "Casa Forte" + "Brooklyn We Go Hard" (Live)

I try to make it to every show Mos Def does in NY, but I had an off weekend and missed his performance at Highline Ballroom this past Friday. Courtesy of illroots via AllTheWayLive we've got some live audio from the show. The first mp3 being Mighty Mos murderin' Jay-Z and Santi's "Brooklyn We Go Hard" and the second a new track called "Casa Forte." We're still waiting on an official release date for his upcoming LP The Ecstatic, it really can't come soon enough.

I'm late, but I'm glad cuz I'm about tired of Mos' alternative leanings. What the F is so bad about some Pete Rock tracks to rock on? The last 2 albums he put out had me steamed something serious. This is why I stay looking underground because dudes always leave the b-boys out in the cold...

mos live is poppie crop thats (dope ) throw back slanguage for you new comers. Casa Forte is a trendsetter in the aternative/hiphop movement. Brooklyn we go hard is a demonstration of mos versetility,he can keep it raw gutter like so, or spit revolutionary shit like casa forte, mighty mos keep it live!

sounds decent, but he needs to stay off any type of singing. the dude says some good rhymes, has depth to him, but there's no consistency- out on the street you gotta have the same integrity you have on record... mos' boys are some bitch ass niggas, so what can you expect from the man himself...
