Audio: Madvillain “Papermill”

I almost forgot this was still a work in progress. Here is a brand new Madvillain track, "Papermill." This is the first release from the new Madvillain album which DOOM & Madlib began recording in 2009. Whenever the album is ready it will be released via Stones Throw. Who knows when this LP will be done, but for now lets just be happy with some progress here. Check out some new Madlib ish over at ST.

Interesting for this to drop right after announcing the disappointing Rock The Bells lineup. Madvillain would’ve been where it’s at. I’ve heard about Doom’s antics but the mystery just goes with the excitement and anticipation for a new album. I wouldn’t even care if they just played new tracks from the album…I’d be happy.

I don’t think it’s Manfred Krug. There’s “Morgen” in it, but no “irgendwann”, no “man wird sehn”. & besides the vocalsamples the instrumental doesn’t fit.

I love when people fall for his concerts and he just sends a Doombot. You’d think they yould figure it out by now…The only way I’d pay for a MADVILLAIN concert is if at least Madlib was scheduled to show up.
