This latest edition of G.O.O.D. Friday (even though it dropped on Saturday), easily is the best release yet, in my opinion. Kanye brings along a lineup more in my lane this time; Mos Def, Swizz Beatz, Raekwon, and Charlie Wilson (could do without that Swizz verse though). Yeezy has hit us with a lot in the last month or so – what's y'all favorite track so far?

Kanye West "Lord Lord Lord" feat. Mos Def, Swizz Beatz, Raekwon & Charlie Wilson

dope joint…the only issue (imo) is that there is barely any music production being done on the track….its a straight loop….no extra drums, nothing added to it,besides for vocals. I know Ghostface does that (and it works) from time to time on his records…but thats Ghostface and not “super” producer Kanye West. I think the record is dope…and I like it better than any of the other songs he has released (or has leaked) so far….But it is just a loop.

In his defense though I w/say that, this particular “sample” is from a song that is ill on its own and doesn’t really need anything added to it to make it hot.

Mos killed it, they should have got rid of Swizz and gave Mos another verse. This if probably my favorite track so far, although I haven’t been very impressed with what has been coming out. It’s good chance I won’t be picking this album up.

Dope song, too bad they let Swizzy have a verse on there. He sounds like a high schooler trying to freestyle for the first time rhyming a word with the same word. Otherwise 3 nice verses from the other 3 emcees, Kanye especially kinda murders it.

  • haterlove

wish i would’ve stopped it after mos verse!!! rest of that ish was terrible!!! reakwon is like listening to my grandpa still trying to sing, played out!! swizz beats is wack!! kanye is yawn, ohh same ole flow!!!!!

  • p-soul

MOs KILLed IT!!!! rae killed it too! whoooooo!!! and the beat is hard! btw aint nothin wring with a loop so long its the right one and you can freak it enough to mesh with it. i like this track. give it a thumb up.

  • ADR

The song is dope. Mos set the tone and the others came with solid verses.

  • kgbuddy21

Everybody killed it on this track except for Swizz. I mean he is more of a buzz kill on songs than anybody. Damn he really sucks

The beat serves as a good vehicle for the rhymes, its not the best beat in the world, but shh, why does every hip hop track gotta sound like the most creative musical arrangement known to man? I mean, we used to be satisfied with dope beats and rhymes, now every track has to have a crazy beat with an unknown sample. Is rock, or R&B held to the same high standards on this site.

As far as Swizz is concerned, I believe this is his debut behind the mic, which is telling being that he feels confident enough to rhyme alongside Rae and Mos. Whatever happen to “stay in ya lane”? I guess Swizz doesn’t follow that creed. His infantile flow makes you wonder how he pulled Alicia.

“excuse me if i’m trapped by the boobies…boobie trapped” ha!

  • The 7th sense

How can you find fault with rae’s verse??Honestly haterlove do u fools listen to music or do you just skim through it…I must say it is the best joint he has dropped from good friday music

  • Blackstar3444

Wow – Swizz just ruuuined this track, delete him like they did Canibus on 4, 3, 2, 1….

..Matter of fact, think i heard he was talkin shit about getting Kanye’s Jesus tattoo…

  • Jazxxl

Hmmmm anybody ever listen to Lovage by Prince Paul and Dan the Automater if you did you already heard this beat before.

  • shggsgfhfsghfg

Nice to see Mos and Rae are still on it. My neighbor and anybody’s neighbor could do just as much or more than swizz beats. What was that? answers welcomed.

  • illtek

Meh… lyrics are on point. Rae has lost his edge in my mind. The track is ok.

  • PEACEBLACKMAN

Ok song, Mos and Ye come the best, Swizz and Rae kinda stale…too bad Nas already did his thing on this same beat – “Find Your Wealth” off of the QB’s Finest album.

  • vaki

cool song, swizz sucks… alicia, holla

  • mizz33

Swiss needs to stick to hooks and making beats. He was real weak on this track didnt need him.

  • M Dot

why does Swizz sound like Plies on here?
Find Ya Wealth is better than this joint. listenable but not really a heater

  • polaris

this songs almost as long as my dick

  • Dre’(poaau78)

Yo Swizz, step up yur rap game Bra, Stop hatin, they all know his flow was wack. Beat & Charlie got me interested.

  • Vrble1

Yeah, I see what y’all meant. I could have done without the Swizz verse, too. Not so much that it sucked, but that it didn’t add much to the song. Unlike some other folks, there wasn’t enough “meat” in the track for me to be excited about it. Mos always brings the fire. I think it would have been hotter (or rather more interesting) if the other cats followed his lead and stayed on topic from his lead. Instead it felt like Mos was an intro to a bunch of other cats talking about themselves. Always pisses me off. Rae was a little stale to me, too. I say delete all them other cats, keep Mos and add Phonte and Talib. That’s a Tri-fecta right there!
