David Banner has never been one to bite his tongue, or one to stay quiet in any times of social unrest. He and 9th Wonder are joining forces to put out an upcoming project entitled Death of a Popstar. This song, "Something Is Wrong," will appear on the upcoming collabo. The track touches on issues like the murder of Derrion Albert, Obama, and homosexuality. Music with a message, I'm looking forward to hearing more off of this one.

    From the deerty,never realized how much Banner sounds like Scarface. Yo, Banner just reveal’d that stepdad raped him as kid last verse.

    never mind 2nd listen got it, telling dude story.

    Banner has got to be one of the more politically active-minded / conscious people in the game. He’s done a lot in the past to promote education.

    Kudos to him for making dope music while getting out an important message.

    Kudos to OKP for posting a David Banner track.

    Probably the weirdest angle
    of homophobia i’ve heard

    David Banner is dope….too bad he aint better than Creed Chameleon though. Creed Chameleon would make David Banner cry if David Banner ever showed his face in the Honolulu’s Hip Hop scene. When David Banner came down this past Feb, only a handful showed up to his show compared to Creed Chameleon where all the fans supported him cause he is Hip Hop’s answer…

      Ok i was really feeling this song its really socially conscious, and informitive to the people, but do u really feel the need to compare two artist who are both doing basically the same thing? and BTW in the states David Banner is way more known then Creed Chamelon. dont matter if he cant get people in Hawaii, he got a bunch of other states that will show out for his show.

    @Mr Anderson

    Agreed. That verse might have been political, but the message sure wasn’t “conscious.”

    Great use of CNN clips… and generally a dope song, although the last verse is problematic.

    I respect him for that. Really good song. And i dont think the last verse was homophobic or anything, he was just stating facts. I’ve heard story’s from people who are homosexuals that have been raped by a relative and messed their minds up when it comes to sexuality. Therefore, i’m glad he shined some light on that.
