Courtesy of RHHsince79, we get this previously unreleased Common jawn. The song is called "Strange Fruit" and features John Legend, with Kanye West on the production. Apparently this song was meant for Com's album, Finding Forever, but Cassidy got to the beat first. Do y'all think this would have been a nice addition to Finding Forever?

I’m enjoying the production, but the lyrics are as lackluster as anything else on FF. The Strange Fruit metaphor is always jarring though

This track is smooth as hell. Also, that Rakim album is wack. I love Rakim, but I liked him in the late 80′s and early 90′s. He doesn’t have it anymore.

the beat is hot, the laid back flow by com is tight enough, not classic, but a dope track…say what you want about kanye, but when he hits with his beats they’re up there with the best.

Lady Nina is the real O.G. Not sold on it overall, but that beat is ferocious, Kanye can freak that over EQ’d bassline like none other. They need to let me mix this for them.
