Dunham Records, and imprint of Daptone Records, is preparing to release the debut album of their inaugural vocalist, Charles Bradley, a true soul singer in league with just what we'd expect from the folks over at Daptone. The Florida born, Brooklyn raised soul singer (backed by The Menahan Street Band) will be dropping his LP, No Time For Dreaming on January 25th. This album is a culmination of a lifetime of paying dues and traveling the country from NY to Maine to Alaska and back again. Bradley sings with the type of soul that can only come from experience. This is clearly displayed in his lead single "The World." The track is described as : "An entirely apropos theme for our anxious times, the album’s impassioned lead track and single, finds Bradley wondering aloud what the world around him is coming to…" Take a listen below, and you can catch Charles and The Menahan Street Band, as well as Lee Fields and The Expressions tomorrow at the Music Hall of Williamsburg (find out more here).
