the roots have yet to headline the picnic, but they usually play multiple tines throughout the day, including at the very beginning to set things off.

What happened to this festival? Tgw Roots don’t have their own set? Remember when Gnarls Barkley was there? TV on the Radio and the Black Keys? What ever happened to questlove saying Run DMC and Amy Winehouse were gonna be there. Love the Wu but no Roots set? WTF. I’m going to Starscape for once this year

Soooooo – Did The Roots play their own set? Did Run DMC perform? Or did Vampire Weekend ACTUALLY close “THE ROOTS” picnic?

Vampire Weekend did close the show, but they only got to play for 40 minutes. The Roots played for at least an hour and a half, so it worked out well. Shame VW’s set got cut short by curfew, though. Great, great day of music.
