14KT drops the official video for "Five & Ten" - the first from his Nickel & Dimed LP which dropped recently via Mello Music Group. The video accompanies the track illustrating his frustrations with life as a producer and the shortchanging that often accompanies it. 14KT comes at fans and folks in the industry eager to eat for free over the sinister track anchored by a gangster flip of classic rock guitar. The complaint is one that has become standard as fans follow their favorite artists and often refuse to pay for projects despite lavishing massive amounts of praise upon the material. Meanwhile, bad intentions on the business side continue to leave artists with the short end of the stick. 14KT drops an explanation of his motivations for the track alongside the video:
"This is one of the few times that I've written most of the verse in my head. I was reading ECCLESIASTES 2:17-23 and that scripture was right in alignment with how I felt as an artist at the time. I wrote this off of the frustration of releasing instrumental projects in my profession. I've been approached/treated MANY times in very unprofessional and disrespectful ways. I wanted to be a voice for all of my producer peers who deal with this frustration and to serve as a notice for up and coming producers/beat makers."
