Saint-Laurent Flips The Weeknd's "I Feel It Coming" into a Period-Perfect 80s R&B Ballad

Complete with lo-fi VHS visual accompaniment

The Weeknd knew exactly what he was doing when he summoned Daft Punk to the studio for the Starboy standout, "I Feel It Coming." While the retro polish didn't exactly show on the album's title track, the smooth and simple closer was had peak nostalgia on its side and a very early-eighties MJ feel.

Not that it needed any help in the vintage glow department, but a new remix of the track and its video has arrived by way of Saint-Laurent, whose offered this precise recalibration to Calvin Harris and Rihanna's "This Is What You Came For" and an edit of R. Kelly's "Sex Dolphin." With shimmers of warm synths and a mid-tempo knock in place, The Weeknd's 2016 hit lives on as a period-perfect slow-burner well outside of its own era.
