Shad Connects with Kaytranada on Meditative New Single "The Fool Pt. 3"
The Toronto rapper seeks spiritual and cerebral balance on his latest single
Another week, another Kaytranada-produced stunner. This time, the Canadian beat constructor links with his fellow countryman, Shad, on the rapper's meditative new single, "The Fool Pt. 3 (Frame of Mind)."
Premiered earlier this week via Noisey as a lead-up to his upcoming concept album, A Short Story About a War, the track and its accompanying video split the rapper between the darkest and lightest elements of his mind. He takes the feathery swing of Kaytranada's beat for a ride in pursuit of evenness and internal harmony.
The track arrives as the latest in a flurry of new Kaytra-helmed concoctions over the last month, following a four-track Soundcloud drop (with edits of Sade's "Kiss of Life" and A Tribe Called Quest's "Midnight,") as well as Lauren Faith's "Just a Little" and Shay Lia's "Funky Thang."
