Prince’s Last Year will take its vantage from its name, collecting footage from the late icon’s final tour (the solo Piano and a Microphone romp) and is slated to feature interviews with friends and lovers alike, including George Clinton, Van Jones, Andy Allo, Eryn Allen Kane and more.

It’s still without a date, but should it actually debut, this will be the first of three documentaries announced since his death to actually hit the air. The first, R U Listening, was to tell the story of The Purple One through the eyes of close friends and former bandmates. A second, Prince: Pop Life, from French director Mathieu Bitton was announced at the top of 2017 with no ETA or even an update since.
