Around the 16-minute mark of the interview, "Let It All Work Out" off Wayne's latest album, Tha Carter V' is brought up. The song revolves around Wayne's past suicide attempt, and when asked about whether Anthony Bourdain and Kate Spade's death inspired him to be transparent about his own experience, Wayne responded, "That song has actually been recorded for probably over four years."

He continued, alluding to the time in 2014 when the album was intended to be released. "I felt that way when I thought the album was coming out. I was ready to come out with it then... The thought process doing that verse is... What made me do it was just, [I] was ready to get it off my chest."
