What a pairing.

Looks like Jay Electronica is taking a break from lip-syncing Drake songs to headline a very special concert.

The enigmatic rapper will be performing alongside the legendary Slick Rick and Roc Marciano September 18 in New York City. The trio will be performing at the Sony Hall. No other details about the concert are known.

Electronica has also said that new music is on the way. After posting a picture of himself riding a motorcycle in London on Instagram, one fan commented: "Someone always has to mention this in every post but drop that album please."

Electronica's response? "No worries. soon come."

Another fan then commented "So umm, new music soon? Or nah?" with Jay simply responding "Yes."

Considering Electronica did an eight-city tour earlier this year, new music could be possible. Or, at the very least, he'll perform some new stuff at this upcoming concert.

The rapper also delivered his first verse of the year on Poo Bear's track "Hard 2 Face Reality," which features Justin Bieber.

Poo Bear previously discussed how the collaborative track came together.

“I happened to be at Roc Nation in New York and I met Jay Electronica’s manager. I was like, ‘Hey, man, do you think he would get on this record?’ The manager was like, ‘Let me hear it.’ I played it; he said it was a smash. So he sent it to Jay,” Bear said. “Everybody doubted that he’d get on it – Jay is really picky. Everyone’s like, ‘Good luck!’ I gave him a deadline, and he turned it in on the deadline day. I couldn’t even believe it. It’s like an alien on the record.”
