Hear a Snippet of SZA's New Collaboration with Mark Ronson and Tame Impala
The “Daffodils” collaborators teast their upcoming feature on SZA’s long-delayed CTRL
Just days out from the release of SZA‘s much-anticipated debut full-length album, another taste of CTRL arrives via Governor’s Ball. During their conjoined set at the NYC festival, Mark Ronson and Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker shared a morsel of their contribution to the long-delayed project.
The still unnamed track picks up the pace on the album’s crawling and seductive singles campaign; something along the lines of Ronson and Parker’s frenetic Uptown Special link-up, “Daffodils” with flutters of the TDE First Lady’s velvet vox. According to Stereogum, Ronson and Parker have been diligently working, accruing as many as eight new cuts, though the others have yet to be placed. Give it time, though. These are the dudes that made Gaga’s country album a digestible thing, after all.
