Throughout its breakout inaugural season, Issa Rae's Insecure maintained a consistent flow of fresh hip hop and r&b from the game's brightest stars. Each episode filled to the brim with choice selections, ranging from Kendrick Lamar's "Alright" to D'Angelo's "Sugah Daddy," all at the helm of the show's composer, Raphael Saadiq, and music supervisor, Kier Lehman.

This past Sunday, the show's anxiously-awaited second season commenced with a little help from NxWorries, SZA, GoldLink and more, keeping to a self-established standard for curation that remains unrivaled on not-just-TV. In a recent interview with Variety, Lehman revealed that forthcoming episodes will bear new music from Miguel, Jazmine Sullivan and Bryson Tiller. So there's plenty more to hear from the trials of Issa and Lawrence in the weeks and months ahead. Insecure returns this Sunday at 10:30pm on HBO. Prepare to pick a side.
