Last month, news came out that Donald Glover was retiring his Childish Gambino moniker.
It would be unfortunate if Glover went through with this. Because Gambino has been successful as hell.

Awaken, My Love!, Gambino's awesome third solo album, has been certified gold. The album got its certification by the Recording Industry Association of America on June 29. It's Gambino's second time an album of his has been certified. (Because the Internet also went gold.)

Part of the success of that album comes from "Redbone," which is a numbers monster, partially because of the success of the meme.
