See Big Daddy Kane Perform ‘Long Live The Kane’ In Full In Coney Island, Brooklyn
Big Daddy Kane will perform Long Live The Kane in full to celebrate the album’s 30th anniversary for SummerStage.
Brooklyn’s own Big Daddy Kane has given us a lifetime worth of memories, iconic lyrics and songs, and performances that have literally stopped the show. His debut album, Long Live The Kane, was the effort that put him on the map and served as an opening salvo to the rest of the rap game that there was a new sheriff in town. Released on June 28, 1988 by Cold Chillin’ Records, Kane showcased a dynamic style and fresh delivery that would go on to inspire the likes of Jay-Z, Eminem, and The Notorious B.I.G.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of his inaugural effort, Dark Gable will perform the album in full at a show at Ford Amphitheater in Coney Island, Brooklyn, on Wednesday, June 20. As part of this year’s SummerStage series, Kane will be accompanied by special guests Doug E. Fresh and DJ Mister Cee. This is one that any fan of authentically rich hip-hop should not miss at all. For those who have yet to see SummerStage in Brooklyn, please don’t miss it.
