Watch The Trailer For Wyatt Cenac’s New HBO Late-Night Series ‘Problem Areas’
The former Daily Show writer, Wyatt Cenac, has a new gig at HBO as the host of his own late-night series titled Problem Areas.
Wyatt Cenac, the former Daily Show writer and correspondent, has landed a new gig at HBO. Taking to Twitter to announce his latest and greatest, Cenac shared that he will be the host of a new late-night series titled Problem Areas.
Maybe not the best move to announce another man getting a late night show on International Women’s Day, but it could not be made without the hard work and creativity of a lot of talented women. That’s not a compliment that’s a way to flatter them into working through the weekend. pic.twitter.com/vZmwYGlrel

Now, less than 24-hours after his announcement, HBO has released the first official trailer for Problem Areas, which is described as a comedy docu-series that will examine the many social and cultural issues facing the world today. “Just think of everybody’s problems. The wealth gap is getting bigger; that’s a problem. California’s running out of water; that’s a problem. My lip muscles are incredibly weak, which means I can rarely smile; that’s a problem. Everyone can point out the problems, but what happens when you start brainstorming some answers?” he asks.
The half-hour series will reportedly feature in-studio commentary as well as documentary-style field reports in areas like suburban Minneapolis, downtown Cincinnati, rural Texas, and more.
Watch the first trailer to Problem Areas below and stay tuned for the show’s premiere on April 13 at 11:30 p.m. on HBO.
