'The Punisher' Reveals November Premiere Date In Violent New Trailer

Netflix has released a new trailer for its forthcoming The Punisher series. The new two-minute trailer offers a little backstory on Frank Castle's time in the military, and how he was ultimately exploited and turned into a hitman.

From there, the clip briefly goes into Castle's revenge story, which we got a taste of in the second season of Daredevil. Aside from Karen Page making an appearance in the series, it is unknown if The Punisher will tie together with anything else currently happening in the Marvel Cinematic Universe or not.

The second season of Luke Cage has also been teased recently, with new photos showing the bulletproof vigilante alongside the Iron Fist. In an interview with BlackFilm, Mike Colter (Luke Cage) offered some details about Finn Jones' (Iron Fist) appearance in Luke Cage season two.

"There are people that love the idea of Heroes for Hire," Colter said. "When people saw The Defenders, they thought the relationship was good between Finn and I and they are curious. They want to see more of that."

"He will bring some fresh blood in the new season and I’m hoping that people will respond to it well," Colter added. "We are teamed up for a bit. That’s the whole point of bringing that flavor to it. I can see how this works. That’s what good about it. We’re giving people what they want."

The Punisher is coming to Netflix on November 17.
