Two More Women Accuse Russell Simmons Of Sexual Assault
Sherri Hines and an anonymous woman have filed criminal complaints against Russell Simmons, the Def Jam Recordings co-founder.
In an interview with Megyn Kelly Today, Sherri Hines spoke for herself, recalling a moment of sexual assault involving herself and Def Jam co-founder, Russell Simmons. According to TMZ, Hines and an anonymous woman have filed criminal complaints against Simmons with the NYPD in December.
Hines claims that she was raped by Simmons in 1983 while the unidentified accuser says she was assaulted in 1991.
Hines is one of many women who have come forward with sexual assault allegations against Simmons after he was first accused of rape by Keri Claussen Khalighi this past November. Since then, a number of reports and accusations have emerged accusing Simmons of varying degrees of sexual misconduct.
Hines appearance on Megyn Kelly Today found her describing the alleged assault. TMZ’s law enforcement sources say that her story falls in line with the report filed against Simmons. “It happened so fast that the next thing I know, my pants were down and he was having his way,” Hines told Kelly. With the number of accusers now hitting double digits, Simmons maintains his innocence, despite ending his #NotMe campaign.
