Remember That Time Trump 'Endorsed' Eminem On MTV?

In light of Eminem's very passionate BET freestyle in which he called out Donald Trump and his supporters, let's revisit the time Trump was a part of an MTV special on the rapper back in 2004.

The special, The Shady National Convention, was a pre-recorded event that featured sketches and guest appearances, with the most notable being Trump. The two-minute-long video finds Trump "endorsing" Eminem for president, utilizing some of the same hand gestures and statements that have become a part of his unsurprisingly disappointing presidency so far. Here is a transcript of Trump's speech:

"Nice group, nice group. Okay, listen, listen, listen. When the Shady Party called me and told me there's going to be a convention, I said it's gotta be a really big one, and it's gotta be right here in New York. Because this is the best city anywhere in the world, am I right? Of course I'm right! I'm always right! I'm Donald Trump, I'm always right! I know a winner when I see one. And Donald Trump is telling you right now, Slim Shady is a winner. He's got brains, he's got guts, and he's got Donald Trump's vote. Ladies and gentlemen, our great candidate, Slim Shady!

A lot can change in 13 years. Eminem does not seem to care for Trump's vote anymore after his surprise BET freestyle, where he not only had some words directed at the current president but his fans that also happened to support Trump.

"If you can't decide who you like more and you're split on who you should stand beside, I'll do it for you with this: f**k you," Eminem concluded the freestyle with.

Happy throwback Thursday.
