Tracy Morgan’s ‘The Last O.G.’ Will Premiere This April On TBS
Tracy Morgan’s long anticipated return to television will begin April 3 as The Last O.G. will air Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m.
With a new comedy special in the bag, it is only right that Tracy Morgan presents his return to television in style. Yes, that’s right, America, the negus that you love to hate is back and more brolic than ever. His Jordan Peele-executive produced series, The Last O.G., which has been in development for some time, will air every Tuesday beginning April 3 at 10:30 p.m.
In The Last O.G., Morgan stars as Tray, an ex-con who is shocked to see just how much his borough of Brooklyn has changed when he is released from prison on good behavior after a 15-year bid. Upon his return, Tray discovers his former girlfriend Shay (Tiffany Haddish) has married a white man (Ryan Gaul) who is helping raise his twins that he never knew existed.
With nothing more than the love of wanting to connect to his kids and learn the lay of the new jungle of where he resides — Tray falls backs on the skills he learned in prison to make ends meet while treading on unfamiliar territory.
Cedric the Entertainerand Allen Maldonado also star as the head of Tray’s halfway house and cousin, Bobby, respectively.
