The filmmaking collective RKSS are taking us back to the eighties with Summer of ‘84, a thrilling, Stephen King-stylized film.

RKSS, a popular filmmaking collective behind 2015’s Turbo Kid, are taking us back to the 1980s with Summer of ‘84. Ahead of the film’s Sundance debut, the film has debuted its first trailer, which has a distinctly familiar Stranger Things vibe, oozing with Stephen King style and, of course, a bunch of kids on bikes.

The plotline for Summer of ‘84 follows a group of young teens who spend a summer coming of age and searching for the identity of the “Cape May Killer”. Assembling clues to track the serial killer down, all signs point to their next-door neighbor who just so happens to be police officer. Written by Matt Leslie and Stephen J. Smith, Summer of ‘84 stars Rich Sommer, Judah Lewis, Caleb Emery, Tiera Skovbye and Cory Gruter-Andrew.
