Pharrell Narrates and Tyler, The Creator Scores New Trailer for 'The Grinch'

Just in time for the holidaze

Don’t look now, but it appears that The Grinch will have another go at Whoville this season.

Illumination and Universal Pictures have released a final trailer for their upcoming animated redux of The Mean One’s misadventures, featuring two familiar (and fitting) voices. Though the titular character will be portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch, the film will be narrated by Pharrell. And according to the trailer, Tyler, The Creator will lend a score.

The trailer teases Tyler’s recalibration of the film’s classic tune, “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch,” complete with requisite accompaniment from a children’s choir and Tyler’s guttural and grizzled vox, promising a soundtrack fully-curated by the Odd Future co-founder. While it isn’t exactly a Flower Boy  follow-up, it does seem like an opportunity for Tyler to land a “Mr. Me Too” of his own, following on the path of his polymath mentor’s Despicable Me smash.

The Grinch lands in theaters nationwide on November 9th. Watch the trailer up top and hold tight for word on the official soundtrack’s release.
