Netflix’s ‘She’s Gotta Have It’ Renewed For A Second Season
Spike Lee’s revolutionary independent film became a smash hit TV show for binge-watching lovers of Netflix. The show will return for a second season.
Spike Lee’s She’s Gotta Have It was a revolutionary event in the year of our Lord, 1986. The award-winning filmmaker was able to talk about sexual liberation, dating in New York and the late twenties adventure in finding one’s self in a creative way. Fast forward to 2017, and Lee revamped the film into a Netflix TV show, which blew off the hinges of those who were fortunate to watch.
She’s Gotta Have It has been greenlit for a second season, according to Netflix. Yes, that means we will get more adventures with Nola Darling (DeWanda Wise), Greer Childs (Cleo Anthony), Mars Blackmon (Anthony Ramos), Clorinda Bradford (Margot Bingham) and Sheryl Overstreet (Sydney Morton). With many calling She’s Gotta Have It “the best thing Spike Lee has birthed in years,” this black woman-led, drama-filled romp into sex, love and gentrification is a modern day work of art… with its fair share of problems.
There’s no exact date as to when production will begin on She’s Gotta Have It Season Two or an actual release date.
