“The Stars Beneath Our Feet” Will Mark Michael B. Jordan’s Directorial Debut
The Black Panther actor, Michael B. Jordan, is looking to get behind the camera by bringing The Stars Beneath Our Feet to the big screen.
Michael B. Jordan is one of the most active entertainers in Hollywood. Creed 2 was talked about and placed into production right as soon as the first one came out, while Black Panther is all anybody cannot wait for come Feb. 2018.
And even still that’s not enough to tire out the former Wire star.
As reported by Shadow & Act, Michael B. Jordan has been called to the lore of being behind the camera, as he has set his feature directorial debut. David Barclay Moore, the author behind the novel The Stars Beneath Our Feet, has had his story rights acquired Endeavor Content whom, according to Deadline, says the project will be “developed as a vehicle” for Jordan’s feature debut.
The novel finds a young black boy, in the wake of his brother’s death, using the magic of Legos to navigate a safe path through the dangerous projects in Harlem, New York.
“Directing has been an area I’ve wanted to explore for some time now,” Michael B. Jordan said. “The Stars Beneath Our Feet tells a story that really spoke to me, and I’m looking forward to jumping behind the camera. I’ve had the opportunity to work with some very smart and talent directors and it inspired me to take on this new challenge.”
In addition to that, plus Black Panther, Jordan will also star in HBO’s Fahrenheit 451, a remake of A Bittersweet Life, and the Ryan Coogler-helmed Wrong Answer. He producing an animated movie called Super Day Care with the team behind Megamind, and producing the black family superhero drama Raising Deon with Netflix.
