The Immortal Iron Fist will be joining Luke Cage in Harlem for the second season of the Marvel-Netflix series.

Spoilers ahead: if you have yet to watch The Defenders on Netflix you should not continue reading.

A new set photo from Luke Cage courtesy of Entertainment Weekly shows the two vigilante superheroes in what appears to be a remodeled Harlem’s Paradise, the club that belonged to Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes (Mahershala Ali) during the show’s first season.

No other details are known about the second season so it is unknown if the two will be teaming up, quarreling (both physically and verbally) with each other like they did in The Defenders or both. Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and the Iron Fist (Finn Jones), along with Daredevil and Jessica Jones, teamed up together in The Defenders miniseries that ultimately resulted in the death of Daredevil (or so we thought until the season finale’s last moments). The remaining vigilantes returned to their respective parts of New York City, with the Iron Fist watching over the city in Daredevil’s place.

Aside from the Iron Fist, we also know that Misty Knight will be making an appearance in the second season of Luke Cage with her bionic arm. The detective lost her arm during a fight with villain Bakuto, but in a photo released a month ago, Knight is walking alongside Cage with a new high-tech enhanced prosthetic arm.

Season two of Luke Cage will premiere on Netflix in 2018.
