Two weeks ago, Hill was suspended from ESPN for violating the sports television channel's social media guidelines for the second time, the first time being her tweets directed at Donald Trump.

"She previously acknowledged letting her colleagues and company down with an impulsive tweet," a statement from ESPN read. "In the aftermath, all employees were reminded of how individual tweets may reflect negatively on ESPN and that such actions would have consequences. Hence this decision."

The tweets in question that came from Hill discussed the topic of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and his announcement declaring that he would punish players who took a knee during the national anthem. When one Twitter user said that members of the team should still take a knee to protest the decision, Hill responded by telling viewers and fans of the team to stop watching the games and stop purchasing merchandise.

"Don't ask Dak, Dez, and other Cowboys players to protest. A more powerful statement is if you stop watching and buying their merchandise," Hill tweeted.

Prior to the announcement of her suspension, Hill took to Twitter to clarify her stance, writing:

"Just so we're clear: I'm not advocating an NFL boycott. But an unfair burden has been put on players in Dallas & Miami w/ anthem directives…If fans really are that upset about what JJ & Stephen Ross have done, don't call the players sellouts, but you're watching every Sunday."
