To have been witness to Dave Chappelle and Kendrick Lamar's momentous 2018 Grammy Awards opening in person would've truly been a treat. But a watch party full of complimentary drinks, food, people, and music is arguably an even more enjoyable experience.

JBL audio, the official audio partner of the Grammy Awards, hosted a watch party for the Grammys at The Skylark in Midtown Manhattan. As guests such as Broderick Hunter (Insecure), singer Elle Varner, dancers Les Twins, and others took pictures on a faux red carpet made for the event, other attendees watched on to see Donald Glover perform Awaken, My Love! standout "Terrified" alongside Lion King co-star JD McCrary on TV, drinking specialty cocktails named after Grammy awards made just for the party (a personal favorite? The "Record of the Year," which was basically a margarita).

Guests were also encouraged to fill out Grammy ballots before the awards show started, checking to see if their selections had won or not throughout the event. Ultimately, the winners, as well as special guests, were awarded with the recently released JBL Link 20 portable speaker with Google Assist.
