Earlier this week, Spotify held its inaugural Secret Genius Awards, commemorating the behind-the-scenes producers, songwriters and players behind some the platform's highest stream counts.

Winners included J Kash, Max Martin, Starrah and PARTYNEXTDOOR amongst others, but also featured a special dedication to Rick Rubin, Spotify's first "Legendary Genius" award recipient. To deliver the honor, former collaborator and "friend" to the Def Jam co-founder and production pioneer, Frank Ocean. The singer offered predictable few words in the rare public appearance, only demanding that Rubin "Come get this thang!," smiling warmly as the hip-hop shaman took the stage to claim his award. Ocean's latest transmission arrived via blondedRADIO with the premiere of the new single "Provider," presumably his final broadcast in the year-long Beats 1 Radio series. Rubin, on the other hand, just released a track with D.R.A.M., hinting at a trippy new era with the Virginia singer. Hopefully, there's more to come on that front.
