Chuck D Will Release a Book Explaining the History of Hip-Hop

When Chuck D starts talking hip-hop, you listen. Or better yet, when he writes a hip-hop book, you should read it.

On October 10th, Chuck D, one of the most iconic figures in music, will release a book calledChuck D Presents This Day In Rap And Hip-Hop History. The book is being described as a history of hip-hop. In fact, the book describes itself as being one of the most comprehensive, chronological histories of rap and hip-hop ever written.

The Public Enemy leader assembled the book, and it contains pictures and historical portraits dating all the way back to 1973. The book literally begins on August 11, 1973, a date that iswidely known as the birthday of hip-hop.

In a press release, Kendrick Lamar talked about the importance of the book:
