‘Bad Boys 3’ Is Back On As Sony Gives The Film A Confirmed Release Date
Sony has announced that Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will be back for Bad Boys for Life on Jan. 17, 2020.
Didn’t you know it was always “can’t stop, won’t stop” for those bad boys Will Smith and Martin Lawrence? Despite word from the movie rags that Bad Boys 3 would no longer be happening or was delayed, Sony comes with the announcement that the film, now titled Bad Boys for Life, will open in theaters on Jan. 17, 2020.
Bad Boys for Life will mark the third time Will Smith and Martin Lawrence play detectives who investigate wild crimes as members of the Miami Police Department. The filmmaking team of Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are expected to direct Bad Boys for Life, with Jerry Bruckheimer back as producer.
The first Bad Boys film was a smash hit, grossing $144 million in worldwide box office sales and was the first major feature film hit for both Smith and Lawrence. The 2003 sequel generated $273 million worldwide. It is with great expectation that the third (and final?) film, Bad Boys for Life will exceed its past success as the film will open globally during the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend in 2020.
