U-N-I Rep for the Regular GuysEven though he’s pulled over on the shoulder of a California freeway to do this interview, Yonas Semere Michael, law-abiding citizen and one half of rap duo U-N-I, still gets accosted by a police officer. “An interview?” says the cop incredulously, “You can’t stop on the side of the freeway to do an interview.” Fortunately, there’s no ticketing involved and Yonas (a.k.a Y-O) gets off at the next exit to finish the interview safely while his homeboy and partner-in-rap Thurzday (Yannick Koffi) is cracking up on the conference call.
“One-two-three, fuck the police!” laughs Thurz, reciting one of the most infamous lines from the West Coast’s most notorious rap group.

The sound and entire product of this group is beyond dope. Pure Melody, reminding why any head got into the love of this music, + with RoBlvd, a sure fire unique , and authentic sond for radios and speakers to bump for years to come. Great Mc's and a prodigy Producer so ahead of the game, well that's just a beauriful thing. Robully!!

for some reason or another i knew my comment was going to be mistaken for a snarky ass hole like comment. I appreciate what they are doing and i am all for expressing yourself in a unique different way, but for MY personal taste they arent that interesting or dynamic. Ive seen them rock live (and even personally know joel; who is one of their band members).
They just aren't that interesting musically for my liking. I dont think they are whack or undeserving of their press or acclaim...i just don't feel them that much . Im sorry. 12

I've heard most of "A Love Supreme". It is BANANAS! Gotta give Ro Blvd. a lotta credit for hand-crafting the sound. The album just doesnt take rap outside the box, it tosses the box in the garbage. Hammer time!
