Friday, May 9th, The Roots opened for Erykah Badu at NYC's legendary (truly!) Radio City Music Hall.  The sold out show seated close to 6000 hip-hop lovers, and The Roots and Erykah Badu made sure everyone got their money's worth!  OKP had photographer Terrence Jennings on hand to shoot some flicks from the night's performances.  See our flickr gallery below.  After, peep some photos from the NYC after-party at Sutra.

Usually for a hip-hop concert, whatever time is printed on your ticket, in this case 6 p.m., it's safe to arrive 90 minutes after that if you want to see the actual show instead of everyone in the crowd awkwardly standing around trying not to look at each other. Anyone who knows me learns rather quickly that I've had love affairs with both the Grateful Dead and Phish. But don't get it twisted, it never really went beyond those two.
