I don't know how I find time to sleep at night with the surplus of good Norwegian dance/bubble gum pop groups that are out right now. Upon listening to the first two minutes of Anniemal I was ready to trash this album. However, as a subjective and fair critic must do, I gave the disc its day in court (aka multiple spins) and definitely found a lot of strength in Annie Lilia Berge Strand's debut album.

To say that interest in this album has everything to with Madlib's climbing stock and little to do with his helium-sucking alias is possibly a tad harsh on Quasimoto, but probably quite accurate, too.

Introductory sentence stating overarching argument. Evidence or reference supporting argument. Conclusion invoking profound or popular quote. Done. It sounds rather formulaic, though, doesn't it? And so does this album, the third released by "underground" Bay Area duo Zion I.

The It Takes A Nation: The First London Invasion DVD chronicles the spirited 1987 Public Enemy performance in London, England. While some of us were enjoying Tron and the emergence of Fruit Roll-Ups, Chuck D., Flavor Flav and Terminator X were bringing rainy London town to their feet at the Hammersmith Odeon.

Former Anti-Pop Consortium members M. Sayyid and High Priest have joined forces under the name Airborn Audio, and are out to prove that Beans isn't the only APC member that can move on to new successful projects. The duo's debut album, Good Fortune, however, only proves the old hip-hop adage that dope rhymes need dope production in order to make…well…dope music.
