What a difference seven days can make. This time last week we were bracing ourselves for whatever Kendrick Lamar seemed to be hinting at on the closing line of "The Heart Part 4." With yesterday's arrival of "HUMBLE," the deal is nearly sealed. April 7th almost guarantees the arrival of a new album at this point. And that's a very good thing indeed. But Kendrick will have us talking well into the year and well past that looming due date. So let's not get too caught up in it, shall we?

Though we may be living in Kendrick's kingdom, there were plenty of non-Comptonian cuts that are more than worth your ear. With new albums from Freddie Gibbs, Nelly Furtado and the resurgent Jamiroquai, long-plays are in no shortage. But stud singles from Logic, Calvin Harris, Knxwledge, Mary J. Blige (with Kanye?!) and PJ Morton, should provide precisely the change-of-pace needed. This week's installment of The Round-Up brings it all to the forefront to minimalize the digging, though we're sure it'll inspire some extended journeys into some lesser-known catalogs.

So by all means, catch up with the week's best cuts down below and if you've yet to do so, subscribe to our Spotify channel for even more pieces of ear candy.
