Late last year, John Mayer announced that he'd be releasing a new album in 2017. It would serve as his first release since 2013's Battle Studies and promised the welcomed reunion of his electric trio (featuring Steve Jordan on drums and Pino Palladino on bass.) The catch: the album would arrive in four parts as a year-long EP series. Today, part one of the campaign arrives, anchored by lead-off single "Love on the Weekend," and the soulful "Moving On and Getting Over," teased at a recent run-in with Dave Chappelle at a private show in LA.
